2011 GFA Convention and Competition

After 13 hours on the road, I arrived in Columbus, GA last night where the 2011 GFA Convention and Competition will be taking place. It will officially kick off on Tuesday night with a concert by the phenomenal guitarist Maestro Alvaro Pierri (who I happened to run into just now!).

Most of the GFA staff members and convention volunteers have arrived and it has already been a very busy day preparing for the awesome week ahead of us. If you cannot make it and be here to witness the amazing concerts, lectures, masterclasses, and competitions, be sure to follow everything throughout the week at the official GFA blog – http://gtrfound.wordpress.com.

I’ll be keeping busy taking pictures and interviewing unsuspecting convention goers, staff, competitors, and artists all week. You’ll find all of this at the GFA blog, put together by my dear guitarist friend Connie Sheu who serves as the director of communications for the GFA.

I really want to hear this guy. He’ll be performing at competitions next year. Should be good!
